I think Thurman wins a close decision.

Complete triangle theory so doesn't mean much but Porter went 24 rounds with Julio Diaz, arguably losing the first 12. Thurman took him out in 3 rounds. I think that says something about power. I'd pick Thurman to stop Alexander and Malignaggi too.

In saying all that Porter appears to have the perfect style for Thurman who imo probably struggles against an inside fighter which Porter has proved himself capable of being.

Good 50-50 fight, I like Thurman to win but wouldn't be confident in the pick. Incidentally, Ken Porter isn't confident of putting him in with KT, he doesn't want the fight.

This might come as a surprise to many, but I feel that Porter wins.

Just too much heart, intensity and volume of punches. Thurman will never get into his rhythm, and Porter will out-man him, wear him down.

Effing Brook silent on the matter as usual.

Make Thurman - Brook, and winner gets Porter. But no way Brook will fight Thurman, maybe Porter. He's the mando but he doesn't seem to want it that badly. Brook will end up like Mike Jones. Irrelevant and forgotten.

Possibly, but one thing I'd say is that Thurman knows what's coming, they have sparred together many times.

They are both very good but I think Porter hits as hard with his left and harder with his right than Thurman. It seems like a very close fight that either man could win but I was really impressed by the way Porter took the tough Paulie out. I voted Porter by KO. Khan acts like he did something amazing by beating Collazo but Callazo is nothing special at all and should be about number 25 in the world. If Khan beat Porter or Thurman even in a close fight I would be impressed. Even if he lost I would respect him for fighting the best. Collazo was a cherry pick.

                I think Thurman would win...

I think a slick defender like a Quintana, Cory spinks, Floyd will be what beats Thurman.

Porter I don't think has the defense to avoid Thurman's shots, and will walk into Thurman's punches...
Plus, Thurman seems to be slightly more versatile

I can't call it. 50-50. This is the best fight to be made at WW right now (Yes, even better than Floyd vs Pac)

Thurman knocked Quintana down in R.1, took him out in 4. I don't see Floyd beating Thurman at this stage of his career either, well maybe if he's forced to wear pillows. Power is the game-changer in that one imo.

I actually think Porter has the best chance of beating Thurman in the division, a power puncher like Maidana also has a chance.
