  • If Rios can throw those combos from angles with his high guard defense he displays, Mayweather is in trouble. Rios looked very quick with brutal combinations, beautiful array of upper-cuts that would dizzy a large bear. It would be a great fight

    • .....the floyd that chooses to use his legs, or clinch, or boxes outside beats rios any day of the week. Itll be closer if he chose to do his "rough and tumble" act tho

This is one of the most ******ed threads on boxingscene. I'm sorry, but honest to god, it is.

This thread deflates my balls. I need to take Cialis now so my balls will inflate.

          • I'm voting rios so add that to the tally. Looking at the way floyd handled the whole manny situation,I doubt he fights rios.................

            • Rios beats a guy who has lost 3 of his last 4 and it makes him a beast

This made me truly laugh out loud.

On a serious note, the fact that people are talking about Rios being competitive against Mayweather on the sole basis of an Alvarado blowout screams "bandwagon". Did anybody really NOT see this coming? I mean, I personally gave Alvarado the benefit of the doubt and thought he'd at LEAST make it to the finish line, but it was ENTIRELY evident that he would not win this fight.

He has been in too many wars consistently for me to pick him. Rios 1, 2, Provodnikov, Marquez, and then Rios AGAIN...?

One of the funniest posts I've ever read on boxingscene was someone mockingly predicting what would be Alvarado's fights towards the end of his career and it was something like:

                Rios 1
                Rios 2
                Provodnikov
                Marquez
                Rios 3
                A pack of hyenas
                A silverback gorilla
                A lion

I can't find it right now, but this isn't too far from the truth. If ANYBODY needs an easy payday or a tune-up fight (or two), it's definitely Mike.

                • This version of Rios ****s floyd up period

Especially if it was a fair fight when Rios got to wear his gloves

Alvarado tried to run and use the shoulder roll. Didn't work. Rios would be right on him landing uppercuts and a volume puncher with power is Floyd's worse nightmare

Floyd already ducked Margarito, this version of Rios is a tier above Margarito
