  • Comments Thread For: Martinez Perfecting Strategy To Score KO on Cotto

Sergio "Maravilla" Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs) is convinced that his tailor-made strategy to defeat former three division world champion Miguel Cotto (38-4, 31KOs) and retain his WBC middleweight title, is right.

"Maravilla" who's been training for more than fourteen weeks stated: "I know I can't be wrong, so I'll focus on my strategy. I'm convinced that Cotto is a strong opponent, but I'm the champion and I’ll defend my title with pride."

Martinez is also sure the fight will end before twelve rounds. The HBO Pay-Per-View headliner will take place on the 7th of June at Madison Square Garden in New York.

Good night Cotto. It's time for you to go back to sleep again. Sergio is goin to put you on his KO highlight reel in the Garden NYC. Someone bring a pillow so Pink Croc shoe Cotto don't hurt his neck when he wakes up 2 days later lol.

Little bailarina is dreaming of dancing with the stars. King Cotto will shut that big chit talking mouth of his. How dumb is he going to look when Cotto stops him.

Sergio, be ready El Cuco is coming for you.....

WAR COTTO!!! Martinez is old and he wont have the mobility as his last fight he will have to stand and trade. I don't see him winning a brawl at the center of the ring

It's hard to have a strong opinion on a fight where one has no clue what Martinez will show up, what I saw against Murray isn't enough to beat Cotto. He was force to set traps on the ropes because he couldn't take it to Murray, Cotto is a good enough boxer that he can jab and keep you turning. I just don't know about this one....
