Can we compare Duran Leonard I with Floyd Maidana?
Maidana must of weighed 20lbs bigger then lil Floyd.
people say pac is smaller then floyd lol, yes, maybe, by like 3 lbs maybe.
anyway, Try picture Maidana and Duran going at it at 147. FREAKING WAR.
The Duran who beat Leonard, and Maidana who just LOSS to floyd.
Floyd decided to fight his fight, not completley, or else floyd would of lost. Floyd was a bit smarter then Leonard, and got the W.
He didnt box and move like he did with Boldimir/canelo, land 2 punches move, he stood right infront of Maidana, i think cause Hopkins is pushing 50, people thinks Floyd will age just like Hopkins, but imo, hopkins is just a freak.
But anyway, Floyd was Leonard last night, and Maidana was Duran.
Obviously, duran was an ATG moving up in weight, and maidana is not, but still, at 147, Maidana is good, and he brought his A game, and he wanted to win that fight, like, there was no other option. If maidana wins last night, his a legend, like Buster Douglas. His the man who defeated one of the best fighters in the last 15 years. He would be spoke about in 30 years time.
Maidana's will to win saturday night was immense, he did EVERYTHING he could, everything dirty, anything to get floyd off his game, floyd stayed on the ropes, wasnt on his toes like he was most recently vs Canelo.
I dont think Maidana will want to win another fight more then how much he wanted it last night, dude was possessed. He threw the kitchen sink at floyd, from round 1, he trained hard for it throwing all sorts of punches.
This must of been Durans mindset going into Leonard I. Maidana was not going to leave that ring without a victory of any sort, he gave his all. the victory he got was a moral victory, he fought he was robbed, and a few fans think he won, even though the dude could not land on floyds face, hitting arms and shoulders and hips, i dont think the judges think to highly of that.
but anyway.
