LAS VEGAS --- Floyd Mayweather said the key to his victory over Marcos Maidana on Saturday night at the MGM Grand was his ability to make adjustments and stay composed under pressure

"I can make adjustments," Mayweather said. "That's the difference between me and any other fighter."

Mayweather said sometimes he finds himself in a Catch-22.

I think he will.... he rematched Castillo.

Plus he has nobody else for September.

Maidana won 3-4 rounds. For Floyd's standards, that warrants a rematch.

Looking forward to it as they already had a verbal agreement and handshake for September.

SHOWTIME is probably extremely happy! PPV will be bigger in the rematch.

from floyd's pov a rematch makes great sense. he will be better prepared for maidana next time and more likely to have an easier time of it, plus it resolves his opponent quandary for september and probably makes more money than any of the alternatives.

Yah sure why not. Lets see it again. Maidana made it more interesting than 45 others have. Outcome wont be any different tho. Sept is only 4 mnths away, May aint gunna age much in that span of time so he will just make easier work of Maidana the 2nd time around.

Chino just save Showtime IMO. Because of this fight, Showtime need not worry about who to find to make a ppv for September. Thanks to him and Floyd of course. They can just sit back as the fight has a built-in audience and will bring in more people with the curiousity factor. I think they can do it while saving some money because they don't need a HUGE undercard ala Matts/Garcia. They can put on Thurman v. Alexander ( step-up up for KT and comeback for DA that I'm sure can be on the less expensive side to make). Then of course TMT Garbage can fill out the rest. Also, pay Chino some real money this time. With my plan, we can fit in the budget.
