I'm not saying arum isn't a shady guy too bc he is ( example Cotto was his go to guy from 04-08 after the Margarito fight he latched to Antonio and tried to convince the world Margarito isn't a cheater even tho cotto face was swollen like someone took a bat to it) and I think much like how the Chicago Blackhawks skyrocketed w the passing of Bill Wirtz when his son took over, the same can be said of top rank when Dubeoff takes it. I'm glad someone else noticed when he said that. Both him and Arum are shady dudes... I wish boxing would be controlled by boxers with the streams of revenue always ending up with the fighters... Not some fat POS... Let Showtime and HBO manage all the production... Let the fighters determine their own fates... You have to think Oscar cares more about the fighters and making good fights than men who have ONLY KNOWN and CARED about business and never stepped inside the ring...

Oscar can never trust a guy who is plotting against him.
He should break his ties with this shady guy. But first things first. He must actively look for a replacement. This is not a job involving rocket science. There are so many who could replace Schaefer and could do it better.
Oscar can start with Canelo's next fight after Lara, win or lose. And since Alvarez is the only boxer he got who he could have any kind of control with, Oscar can negotiate with 50 cent for a Kirkland vs Canelo matchup. Then get Schaefer's replacement and go from there and make sure Schaefer has zero involvement in it.Comment

They make little money in these Mayweather fights. Do the simple math and you can figure things easy like a seven year old child. Start from Mayweather's $40 million guarantee, then the expensive undercards, the astronomical sums they spend on promotions...
Many GBP fighters have been on a long layoff. Khan, Matthysse, Guerrero, Berto, and others I'm trying to recall, are now averaging one fight a year. GBP hasn't been making many fights involving their stars.
