  • Danny 'Swift' Garcia fans...

I'd like to invite you to my thread for a mature discussion on Danny as a fighter. I'm going to start by telling you what I think of him and then I'd like to know why you think I'm wrong.

I believe so far in the short career he has had he's over achieved because in my opinion he has average technique, ring IQ, skills and not to mention that fact that he isn't fast either.

I believe he has been successful thus far solely due to his power and he has one hell of a chin as we witnessed during the Matthysse fight.

As most people seen against Herrera in my opinion Herrera schooled Danny and Danny just could not adjust what so ever throughout the 12 rounds, this shows lack of ring IQ and the ability to adjust on the spot. What was even more surprising was that the more technical boxer Herrera was bringing the fight to the power puncher Danny.

Anyone with decent boxing skills can out box Danny as long as they have a chin that can withstand his thundering left hook, I think Khan 2.0 could school him as long as he keeps his chin tucked all night long.

At 147 Danny will have a good number of losses and probably become a gate keeper at 147 eventually.

I'm not a hater, just an observer and wish Danny all the best, seems like a genuine good kid.

I'm not a Garcia fan, but you're insane if you think only Garcia fans are going to respond to your thread simply because you requested it.

My opinion of him is that he's an extremely limited guy whose power and chin has been his saving grace thus far, but I highly doubt he goes another year undefeated unless he just fights creampuffs lined up by Al Haymon.

For the record, I had him winning the Herrera fight 7 rounds to 5 in a very close and ugly affair that bored me to tears.

Very good fighter, adapted well in the Lucas fight, can punch very hard, can take a great punch, and mentally strong. Will not panic if he's getting caught (Judah, Khan, Lucas fights).

Im a Gift Garcia hater but I recognize his talent. Fighters I think he can beat at 147 though. Provodnikov, hes a bleeder and DGGs left would be landing all night. Bradleys a 60/40 fight in favor of Bradley right now but the Pac fight might have taken something out of him. Porter kills Danny. Thurman is a fight I believe wluld be a dog fight for Danny but one I think hed win.

I think Swift will look good fighting at 147 again, he's had more fights there than at 140 throughout his career. Maybe what he said was true about being weight drained against Herrera cuz he looked like shyt in that fight.

He's a good fighter, very underrated . His bodywork is Supreme and possess some good power, lacks feet movement tho.

What about his luck and advisor Al Haymon?

I like Danny but he's very limited. He is sort of flat footed, doesn't have a very high ring IQ and as everyone else pretty much said his power and chin have bailed him out before.

I doubt he carries his power with him to 147, I would favor Porter and Thurman over Danny.

Pac Floyd and Bradley all beat him fairly easily IMO

I love the Danny Garcia bashing that goes on...

He will be vindicated with his skills.
