A fresh Hagler at his peak would cut the 160 version of Jones down around the 9th or 10th round.

The later, tired form of Hagler would be frustrated by Jones' style and would drop a decision.

I think Hagler would have put the necesary pressure on him to do what Tarver did many moons later.Hagler KO not TKO but KO in 6 or less.

I smile thinking about this one....because I dislike Roid so much.
Hagler would have too I believe and would have punished him unmercifully.
Hagler look probably take him out very early but I would like to think he would do what Ali to Terrell or whoever it was that insisted on calling him Clay. He kept the punishmant up round after round but wouldn't finish him. "What's my name?!"

I think Jones would win, but I would have loved to see Hagler chasing him around the ring trying to take his head off.

two of my favorite fighters, but roy was simply too quick and too fast. roy was also extremly powerful at mw, and if hagler wanted to throw, roy could rock him a few times. imo, roy could win a clear cut decision here

Hagler would've knocked Roid out. Hagler was great at cutting corners, especially against dancers.

The Leonard fight, which I think he still won, was Haglers last fight, he was not the same Hagler.

Sugar Ray Leonard was better then Roid Jones. Also Leonard's chin was 10 times better then Roids.

              Hagler by brutal KO.

Hagler had the chin to take Roy's shots and would stop or KO him in the later rounds.

no way. at mw, roy would have embrassed srl and ko'd him easy. roy is three inches taller and has a longer reach on marvin. roys chin is NOT THAT BAD. look at some of roys rights at mw, not a light heavy, and you will see that there is simply no beating him

Sugar Ray Leonard was a far better boxer skills-wise than Jones, and also had some speed and foot movement, yet I think Hagler would have won their fight if they hadn't made it 12 rounds, instead of 15. Also, Hagler was a very good lefty with great skills, unusually stong at the weight, and much more of a warrior than Jones. I think he would have caught Jones eventually and stopped him given a 15 round fight. Jones depended too much on athletic talent to keep him out of trouble.....
