We may see Mayweather-Maidana II happen in just 5 months, September. There really isn't much out there in terms of a good PPV fight that fans will pay for. If Lara beats Canelo, there's that, from a competitive standpoint it would be the best but so would Maidana. Porter and Thurman are clearly good fighters, but they need to fight each other rather than Mayweather right now.
Mayweather could fight sergio martinez and that would be acceptable.

I can see a rematch with Maidana even though it isn't needed the 117-111 or 116-112 scores was fine with me; other scenario is I was with Keith Thurman when he said he talked to the WBA and they will make him Floyd's mandatory they promised him that.

Interesting. But I doubt they enforce anything.

He was saying they would enforce it if Floyd won so we will see.

They do that Super Champion/Regular Champion BS. All they will probably do is promote Floyd to Super Champion and let Thurman fight somebody for the regular title. With Khan beating Collazo you may actually get Thurman vs. Khan because he moved into the #2 contender slot behind Keith Thurman.

Funny how people will watch pacquiao fight marquez 5 f.uckin times but b!tch about May vs maidana II...a fight that is warranted a rematch! And if Floyd doesn't give Marcos a rematch y'all would cry and b!tch about that just like the ortiz fiasco...

I hope Floyd fights him again...he deserves a rematch more them anyone floyd has fought in past couple years...

                  Hopefully septembers card is:

                  Floyd vs maidana II
                  Garcia vs broner
                  Thurman vs porter
                  Some tmt person vs tbd

That would be a stacked and exciting card!!

The fact that people actually think the Maidana fight was close has worked out perfectly for Mayweather.

He had very few realistic options for September with Khan not being able to fight due to Ramadan whilst the likes of Thruman and Porter are not ready to headline a PPV of that magnitude.

Now he can rematch a guy who isn't that hard to figure out and it will do good business because of the growing public perception that Maidana can win.

It's almost as if it was set up but I won't go that far.
