    Out-boxing Maidana

Kotelnik outboxed Maidana. Khan outboxed Maidana. Morales ALMOST outboxed Maidana. Devon really outboxed Maidana. What happened to Floyd? Why didn't he?

He was starting to get used to facing guys that would stand right in front of him, and just stare at his ass like it was a starting contest, and not a guy that wanted to fight him for real.

He's been used to fighting fugazis.

Floyd's natural instinct when someone is throwing more than 1 or 2 punches at him is to cover up and roll with punches until a perfect opening presents itself for a counter without him being hit. When somebody throws more than one punch at him at weird angles sometimes that perfect opening does not present itself and you leave Floyd there.

Reason why pac would have been a nightmare match for Floyd. If pac got off first he would keep Floyd in a shell and be out before Floyd can get off.

I've always said that an offensive volume puncher that does not get discouraged by Floyd occasional counters give Floyd problems.

So why do so many people say Floyd would easily beat Manny even after that point you just made?

Well first off Chino beat Kotelnik.

Secondly, what do all those fights have in common? Pre-Garcia.

Maidana is an improved fighter. Glad people finally get to see that's the truth.

Because people here don't really understand boxing. There's a reason mayweather has made numerous roadblocks for the fight to be made. Ill leave you with malignaggi's analysis way back on pac-mayweather.

“Ever since I watch Floyd Mayweather he gives you a defense where he locks up. And a lot of the time obviously it works for Floyd. Floyd is very hard to hit, regardless of the fact. But I always thought that somebody with fast hands – that throws punches in bunches and throws them in flurries – might not land on Floyd – because he locks up so well – he has the ability to leave Floyd there.”

“And what I mean by that is, move your hands, step out, you leave him there. Throw punches, step out. Before you know it, Floyd, if he’s giving you all this, he never gets the chance to get back off. Because you’re in and out. And that costs you rounds. Through the course of Mayweather’s career, he’s always been faster than most of his opponents. But the fast guys that he did fight did show glimpses of it. Oscar showed glimpses of that. Zab Judah showed glimpses of that – that you can do that to Floyd. The problem is you very rarely will hit him clean. So I think these guys get frustrated and get away from that. But in the meantime, what they don’t realize is that they’re probably winning rounds because Floyd is not getting off. Pacquiao doesn’t have to change anything about himself. He fights that way naturally.”

pacquiao on strategy to beat Floyd. go to 4:20. Trust me man Floyd's defensive mentality would work against him against a combination puncher like pac.

We thought it was only Pac who beat common opponents more convincingly than FLoyd, but everyone seems to in fact.

Floyds mystique lies in his unbeaten record only, but then we know hes lost 2 fights now anyway. So there is no mystique of Floyd now. Same in when Tyson was koed by douglous.

People don't see Floyd as unbeaten. Just like Bradley wasn't when he lost to Pac.
