Props for coming out like a man about it, I am proud of Maidana!I wanna congratulate you and him. He fought a great fight. He was also shafted of his gloves and a decision. I had winning 7-5 but that's besides the point.
I've always been critical of him and I still dont think he's a very good fighter but sometimes it isn't about your tools but how you use them. And Maidana knows how to make his work. Sometimes it's harder to fight an awkward dude like Maidana than a more methodical opponent like, let's say, Marquez. From now on you will never hear me say one bad thing about the guy. He has earned respect.

Most people spar with 16oz gloves not 8oz gloves. Do you spar with 8oz gloves? It would explain the brain damageComment

Overrated? Depends how you look at it and what you mean by it. Sure he's not very technical and pretty awkward but last night he proved his worth.Originally posted by Truth.Good post, I feel the same.
I still think Maidana is an overrated fighter, but he fought really well yesterday. Big respect to him.

It could still be ruled a no contest.
Dictating your opponents gloves might fall under this category.Comment
