You are incorrect in the conotation. You are correct in that it's a nationality, but let's not act like lawyers and BS around here. When the term "Mexican" is used, it's referred to as a race most likely. Sure there are Mexicans of all types of races, but it's still a majority of one race or ethnic group, either indigenous or Mestizo.
When you say American, you mean more nationality because it's such an incredible melting pot and the real Americans have been forced into reservations. When you hear about a crime, and the person is describing the perp, they will say "Mexican" and the cops aren't going to say "That's a nationality, describe him better please"....lol
They will go looking for a Mexican looking person, so stop the BS. Broner is a ***in idiot and if someone said "Black" there would be a **** storm.Comment

That got to be the most ****** ***** I've heard on hear!! Once again everybody has some sort of equal rights because black people stood up and died for everybody rights!!! Whether y'all were'nt here yet or y'all were just following orders, NO OTHER RACE OTHER THAN WHITE WOULD BE TREATED FAILY!!! y'all would have your own section, bathroom, water fountain, just like everybody else!!! Some of you Mexican act ignorant sometimes. y'all are ********** just like us. And hated just as much if not more than us!!!If it wasnīt for black people?? Yeah, right. You saw those attacks because blacks were not liked, Latinos have nothing to do with that. There are black Latinos and had their own problems. And Latin communities have fought their own wars, donīt give that " thanks to us the civil rights blablabla ". We donīt care. And stop drinkink Corona and Tecate , which sponsor boxing. And Jordans are Nike, a white company.Comment

Thats apples and oranges lol. Because black people live in many countries and consist of many ethnic groups/national origins. Oh wait black people only exist in America THAT seems to be the train of thought.
What broner said was simply nationalistic. Broner is american. Mexican-americans identify as Mexicans not Americans! Spite being born in the US.Comment

No one refers to Mexicans as a race except for idiots! The last sentence does not even matter and those 2 are not the same. You are incorrect in the conotation. You are correct in that it's a nationality, but let's not act like lawyers and BS around here. When the term "Mexican" is used, it's referred to as a race most likely. the closet racism is so real on this website but at the end of the day if you are a black person you are considered a second class citizen and even if you're not a full Anglo Saxon in America as long as you're not black you are still consider better than a black person sad but true ! I work with different nationalities and I see It!Question is Mexican a race or nationality or is it interchangeable when it comes down to race and class??
