I can't stand Showtime commentators besides Paulie. Too much slurping.
SHOWTIME's Bias toward Mayweather was appalling

Well, they all had the score extremely close - apparently BoxNation had it much wider for Floyd, hence our clueless British brothers (I'm a Brit but not an idiot) thinking that fight was a humdrum win for Floyd.
I actually love Showtime's coverage, especially compared to HBO. Whereas Lampley and Kellerman relentless emphasise the negative, and get drawn into debates about external issues, Showtime are always focused on the night. And they are always positive and excited, whereas HBO will call a fight **** straight away and cloud your mood and perception of the fight.
But it was that sort of mentality that was the problem for Showtime last night. I don't think they were as bad as people think, but not mentioning the gloves issue was a HUGE hit to their credibility - the HBO team would have discussed it from the start of the broadcast right the way to the end (probably to the point of overkill, but still).
They're also way too reverential towards Floyd. Again, in a way, it's better than the toxic atmosphere that used to develop when Floyd fought on HBO. But still, you gotta keep it a little more real, man.
Last night showed that Showtime's greatest strength - the positivity, excitement, focus on the fight/action and not on external issues - can also be their weakness.
However, their presentation is still awesome to me.Comment

I also noticed this. It's probably an LGBT rainbow thing to be honestEveryone complains about HBO, but what happen to Showtime? the commentators were praising the crap out of Floyd and than they kept showing the times Floyd lands a punch even if its a grazing uppercut, to make it seem as if that was the best round for Floyd.
The Showtime bias for Floyd was sad, even having the fight even midway? Maidana clearly won those early rounds on pressure and workrate. I had the fight a draw, but was giving the edge to Maidana. Maidana tends to gas later in fights but he did enough to get either a draw or slight edge on points.
Also Jim Grey wtf? this is the same guy who used to be cold and ask those hard questions, now he is over there hugging Floyd in the corner BEFORE THE FIGHT STARTS!!!! wtf is that crap? Seriously why are you hugging it out like you are boys? and he is butt kissing Floyd too, praising him as the best ever trying to get others to praise Floyd, Jim Grey is handling Floyd with baby gloves.
Jim Grey interviewing Tyson trying to get Tyson to kiss Floyds butt, but it backfired because Tyson took a shot at Floyds record by saying Chavez Sr was like 97 and 0 lol basically saying Chavez sr was greater than floyd.
This is sad.Comment
