Hahaha ... If you think get pounded in the kidneys, hips, shoulders, and body 300 times doesn't have any effect, you're lying to yourself. I'm not saying Maidana landed a bunch of clean shots, but at 37, there is uncertainty regarding how he bounces back after the sustained pounding he incurred.

Personally I always thought Canelo hurt him a lot more than he let on. He actually admitted this in the post fight interviews yesterday when he said he 'felt his left hook'; I also remember seeing a video of floyd getting a massage after the fight and my first thought was how broken down he looked. Just my 2cents.

Yes, actually. I never said that I thought Maidana necessarily won the fight or that Maidana landed a bunch of clean scoring blows. But Mayweather took a pounding all over his body last night, including dozens and dozens of non-scoring punches to the back of the head, the kidneys, and his ballsack. If he were 31, I'd say it was a non-issue. But given the slight degradation in his physical tools in the past several years (which is only natural) and the fact that he's pushing 40, he may have a harder time than usual bouncing back from all those shots to the sack and back of the head.

I imagine getting pounded in the sack and back of the head would have an effect on anyone, especially from a guy like Maidana.

Sounded perfectly fine to me in the Post fight press conference.
