You think there's more chance of a fighter contracting the AIDS thru a headclash than through **** sex? Whatever you say.

There's much more chance of a bloodclot on the brain than contracting THE AIDS. You're probably not aware of this...but blood flows out, not in.

Tommy should come back and fight in the Heavyweight tournament coming up in june or july! The one with all of the four round fight! I bet that is what he is planning on doing. The hiv must be affecting him because he was never 215 or 208 when he was fighting! I don't think he was ever below 235 or 240. Still a sad story.

prime morrison came into fights around 225, he was around 210 when he started boxing professionally....

i was looking over his record and noticed he fought 16 times in 1989, thats not too shabby, though i bet most of em lasted all of a minute and a half, i have his fight with david jaco on my CPU, he knocked dude out with the first punch he throws.

Yeah, he had all the power in the world. My point was that he was always gasping for air in between rounds and out of shape from partying too much. He was never fat but always winded. Wouldn't a cure be great. Sucks that people have to get diseases.

...Yep, Tommy was a powerful beast indeed. If he hadn't partied 24/7 and had gotten himself in shape he would have been a far better boxer.

yeah, but he got more ass than a toilet seat. So he's got that going for him.

There are very few, very very few cases on record of HIV being transfered by blood from an open cut. Mind you we are not talking about a fight type senerio when you look at these stats.
The skin is a very good barrier, the eyes, mouth, and an open cut are not. With that in mind and the way blood is transfered routinely from one fighter to another in a fight, there is still a chance. And I could not fault a fighter for saying why take it.

I personally would not want to fight someone with HIV. There may not be a huge risk, but there is a risk. Boxing is risky enough anyway. I think Morrison would find it tough to get fights as fighters wont sign to fight him. Its a tragedy but I think this is the way it is.

I agree. It is really sad what has happened to Tommy but unfortunately he must not be allowed to box again.
