LAS VEGAS - For a moment, it seemed like Marcos "El Chino" Maidana could do the unthinkable - hand pound-for-pound champion Floyd "Money" Mayweather the first loss of his brilliant career. Only for a moment.

Mayweather, who is now the WBC and WBA Welterweight World Champion, prevailed with a hard-fought majority decision victory over Maidana in the main event on Saturday on SHOWTIME PPV in front of 16,268 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

Mayweather's lack of throwing more than one shot at a time is his weakness. All you have to do is look at that picture at the end of the fight with Mayweather having one hand up and Maidana having both hands up. Maidana's face has no marking; whereas, Floyd's face is swollen and he doesn't look as confident.

I could imagine how much more impressively Maidana would have won if would have been allowed to fight without pillows for gloves hmmm...

After this fight, Mayweather-worshipers please don't even mention Pacquiao's name.

Floyd: 44-2, 45 have tried and 2 have succeeded.

Don't forget that many in the media will also say Floyd won just like many said Tim Bradley beat Pacquiao lol. Not to mention, Floyd-worshipers still won't even admit that Floyd lost to Castillo. This is Floyd's second loss. Not surprisingly it was the two Vegas judges who had this fight as a Floyd wipe out.

1st, NO WAY the bout was a draw...FM won, vs a young, strong, solid punching guy...FM's style, 1 shot @ a time isn't the best, as he has no real power...he landed some great body punches...he did what he needed 2 do, 2 bad judge pernick wasn't watching the fight, the jerk missed a good 1...

Mayweather won the fight comfortably, and I have zero respect for Maidana. The guy tried cheating his way to victory (am not talking about the gloves) so fuck him.

Maidana did all he could. He made it a dirty fight at times but it still wasn't enough. Mayweather adjusted around the 6th and you began to see Maidana struggle to find the success he had sustained earlier in the bout.

                    Good fight.
