    Mayweather took Maidana's puncher glove.

In a fight this close, Would those horsehair gloves have made the difference?

Was Floyd's paying off of Maidana to wear the more padded gloves well worth it?

Do you think Maidana would have cut Mayweather's face up even more with his original gloves?

It would have caused more bruising on Floyd for the few clean shots that Chino landed, but would have had zero consequence in KO power. People just want an excuse for being wrong. This is not the excuse to lean on for solace.

These are valid questions that we unfortunately have to ask and it's Mayweather's fault that we have to ask them.

Maidana still used Everlast, and it was still an 8 oz. glove.

It's not like he was using 10 oz. gloves

Would've made a difference, but we'll never find out how much. Do the right thing and do the rematch with Mx gloves, Floyd.

He used a glove that he wasn't used to with different style and feel.

The one's he is used to have less padding around the knuckles.

To a fighter every little thing counts and for a puncher like Maidana the gloves matter. Coming into this fight the only shot people gave him was a puncher's chance. After Mayweather swept the rug under him by bringing up the controversy that led to him switching gloves he no longer had that shot either.

I think it would have made a difference on those body shots that Maidana hit him with in the first half of the fight.
