148/165=A welterweight beat a tough game middleweight tonight

You guys do realize that Floyd was only 148 tonight and Maidana was 165...
So basically a welterweight beat a tough game super middleweight tonight.

I'm so sick of these guys hiding/disguising themselves as lower weight class because they don't wanna fight at their weight
Even last week fights, you had lightweight bouts with these guys coming in at 168..... How the hell is that a fair fight.

Floyd is the bigger fighter - check the reach/height and overall lean muscle mass.

Hahahaha, I actually thought Mayweather looked a lot bigger than Maidana tonight. Taller, bulkier, longer reach. Hahahaha.

don't forget the clasic "he is gonna gatt'd him" when the only fighter that floyd ever gatti'd was arturo him self (the shell of arturo actually)

How can you really say Floyd was the bigger fighter?

            Come on man.

They are both natural welterweights. Floyd couldn't get down past 146 half a century ago when he fought Marquez and Maidana had no problem making weight. The only reason Floyd doesn't bulk up like other welterweights is because he has a lot of speed but no power. Bulking up would cost him his main strength while not improving his power enough to really hurt people.

It's not the weight that's an issue; it's Floyd denying Maidana a legal comission-approved glove.

It also could of been one of the factors why he faded as the fight wore on.

By exactly what I said. Maidana has always been flabby - if he were as lean as Floyd he'd weight about the same. Maidana is just stronger.

I always knew that Maidana would be the bigger guy. When fighting against Broner, Maidana weighed 161 lbs. So weight advantage was going to be a known fact.

Maidana weighed the same as Canelo did when he fought Floyd, which is kinda crazy.
