No he did not fight to please the fans. Floyd had been fighting forward often his past few fights. Maidana just had no respect for him and was determined to bully. Even when Floyd would nail him, Maidana would just collect himself and go right back in. Floyd did not enjoy Marcos inside at all.
I still had Floyd winning 115-113, but I want to watch it again as the second time around you can watch it with less distractions.Comment

No, he doesn't fight to please the fans. He says that, but in reality he didn't have a choice but to dig deep against guys like Cotto, Maidana, Castillo. The "pressure fighter, good power, good chin, volume punching" style is all wrong for Mayweather. This is why he avoided Margarito, because he would have lost.Comment
