Most entertaining fight I'd seen from Floyd in a long time, I personally scored it 115 - 113 floyd, but when the cards were being read I didn't know which way it would go. . . and I wouldn't argue with 115 - 113 for Maidana or a draw
I do think Some of Maidana's work was sloppy though, he had good moments, he came to fight, (certainly made it a brawl) he done more than Canelo did, and showed Floyd no respect, had he have gotten a KD, or cleaner work . . . It would have been a clear UD for Maidana.
I don't think Floyd gets quite enough credit for going into wars, when he does people think he struggles or has problems (Paulie touched on this),. . . He's probably tougher than he looks, and if that was anyone else fighting Maiadana tonight in the 147 division I think they would've handled it as well as Floyd. He had the cleaner more effective work, some lovely upper cuts, But he is beatable, Had Maidana have cleaned up his punches abit more, focused on landing rather than bullyin he would've got this. But I think to beat Floyd you need to do abit more than Aggressive pressure against the ropes.
Anyway just my 2 cents.
