Whether he enters in Grants, Reyes, or Everlast, it's still 8 oz gloves. So shouldn't be disappointing. Not like he's asking him to enter with 10 oz.

Its dissapointing in the fact that it was not in the contract, where it would state maidana has to wear grant gloves...he chose to wear everlast which is his glove of choice, he should be able to wear the red mx everlast gloves.

Because Maidana is not in charge, GBP and TMT are. Team Maidana was caught trying to cheat in a vicious way, trying to cheat the man who thought enough about him to give him an opportunity at frame and to make millions but Team Maidana showed their lack of appreciation in a viciously deceitful and disgusting way. They precipitated the situation by trying to pull a fast one. So, if TMT calls off the fight, I support them. Making such a sacrifice and taking a stern stand sends a message that things like this will not be tolerated at all.

why the hell would team maidana try to cheat the gloves and jeopardize a fight of this magnitude and the biggest payday of his career knowing full well that the gloves goes through a routine inspection by the commission for it to be approved. let me ask you this... would you go through LAX with a .45 cal in your handcarry knowing full well of the repercussions? think before you post.

I like Floyd, I think he's an amazing boxer. One of the best to ever lace them up, BUT, he's acting like a coward, a vagina, a hypocrite, and just flat out losing the few fans he has left.

Boxers are allowed a variety of gloves because some boxers have very strong hands and fists while others have brittle hands and they require more protection than others. Floyd knows maidana has KO power and that maidanas hands are stronger than his hands, he,his team, and the whole world know that, but yet they want to CREATE and issue where there shouldn't be one just to be difficult.

Ellerbe and Floyd are seriously looking like lovers rightnow. Floyd himself said that they didn't want to do anything that was unfair towards team maidana, but then turns around and ignores the fact that he's trying to force maidana to wear the gloves that HE WANTS HIM TO WEAR, although the commission already approved the MX Everlast gloves that maidana prefers? He complained openly about Oscar choosing the ring size and the gloves for him when they fought, but turns around and tries to FORCE MAIDANA TO WEAR GLOVES HE CHOOSES? Talk about being a damn hypocrite.

They realized they look like hypocritical vaginas but they still have the audacity to make one last estrogen fueled attempt at trying to get over on team maidana by sending Scheafer over there to see if he can influence them into using the other everlast gloves instead of the perfectly allowed MX Everlasts that maidana has every right to wear and is already commission approved.

Not every fighter has brittle princess hands that break when you wash your hands like Floyd's do. Some fighters have the hands of a man, especially those who grew up on a farm. This is clearly a case of TMT being divas, like when Mariah Carey wouldn't perform unless she had pink skittles only in her dressing room or some other ridiculous nonsense like that.

I know damn well and so does everyone else on this site that TMT frequent this site and have accounts on here. WE ALL KNOW THAT! We may not know who they are and that doesn't matter really, but what does matter is that they do read and do pay attention to feedback from the people and the main thing that we (boxing fans) not the so called *****s want to convey to you guys is PLEASE JUST CUT THE BULL AND STOP BEING HYPOCRITES PLEASE!

If Floyd was making fun of maidana that he couldn't even put a blown up lightweight away in broner then why in the hell is he so concerned now about his power and acting like such a clitoris regarding maidanas glove selection? You can't have it both ways TMT! You guys are killing your own arguments with your own words!

Although he says he doesn't care about people hating him as long as they tune in, that's BS. Everyone wants to be liked, it's human nature to want to be loved and respected. In the last few yrs he seems to have matured and made a somewhat honest attempt at conducting himself like a man, a gentleman, and just being a more respectful individual, but the hypocrisy he and his team have displayed recently really is a step backwards toward that immature idiot kid who use to burn money to seem cool.

Latest news about the gloves fiasco: Someone of the team Maidana is telling to argentine TV that Chino is coming with the red everlast MX that were aproved by the commission but they expect to be offered extra money in the next hours to change the gloves. Btw Maidana is totally isolated and knows nothing about this gloves thing.

honestly those blue gloves were bad the red ones were ok but hey if the boss (mayweather) says no its no period dana will wear what he is told to wear.
