He can either fight or walk, but the bottom line is Maidana has a second pair approved and ready to go. Maidana is in the right to wear that second pair and Floyd has no authority to decide against it.

The reason the blue ones came in seran wrap is because Maidana had a custom paint job to put the argentina flag on them that I assume was done by a third party.

Some people are suggesting that the paint wasn't the only work done on the gloves, but there was also some custom padding placement done as well. That shouldn't be an issue since they have the standard red gloves there, but Mayweather wants to force Maidana to fight in gloves he's never worn to gain a psychological advantage.
