  • Comments Thread For: Team Molina: NSAC Told Adrien Broner To Shave Beard

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - As BoxingScene.com reported earlier, Frank Espinoza, manager of Carlos Molina, has objected to Adrien Broner's new beard. Broner faces Molina tomorrow night as part of the Mayweather-Maidana Showtime Pay-Per-View.

Espinoza cites the rules of the Nevada State Athletic Commission, because he feels Broner's beard presents a potential hazard in the fight and he doesn't want any controversial outcomes.

This fight will be canceled because of the beard.
Mayweather fight because of the gloves.
The Khan fight because he gets caught with a diamond plate in his chin.

"The Moment" is talking about the moment the PPV got canceled.

Team GGG probably told him he can keep the jaw padding cuz it won't help.

I think the rule varies from commission to commission. GGG vs Stevens was in NY right?

They should check his beard for crabs first.

They should just let him keep it, but dye the chin sweetspot in red for the fight.
