Diaz says he hasn't studied many of Peter's tapes. The reason isn't because of overconfidence, or lack of preparation, but because Diaz and Peter have sparred many times over the last year.
"We both train in the Top Rank gym, and we help each other prepare for our fights," Diaz said. "He's a great person. I get along with him real well. We even flew on the same plane over to Miami. I consider him a good friend."
But will that friendship have any effect on the bout?
"You know very well that when that bell rings, that friendship is over," Diaz said with a smile.
Peter is clearly the favorite in this fight,but after hearing this I think Yanqui Diaz has pretty good shot at pulling off the upset.Hopefuly neither one lets up if they got the other one hurt.
