I truly think this is a mere attempt for market makers to level the odds of the fight.
The media and fans are spinning it as "Oh, he's distracted, Maidana is going to have a leg up from a mental standpoint". It's too convenient to do this days before the fight. People will now have that "reason" to buy to see if Mayweather's head is in the right place.

While I'll be rooting for Maidana and give him a puncher's chance to win, many do believe this fight isn't competitive and will end with Mayweather victorious.

all this weak "marketing" strategies coming from mayweather's camp is just pathetic. y'all really think jackon won't be on some birth control pill considering she's being paid for sex?

it's sad that mayweather has to resort to such ****** tactics, just goes to show the guy is not only paranoid but desperate for attention. it's not helping his already negative image

He's trying to add soap opera BS to ignite PPV sales.
"The Moment ' has become a junk bond sales pitch for suckers.
We even know that he has Khan teased as the 'next' uninspired moment, as if a Collazo victory is now the benchmark of some great achievement.

It's all greed, not all good.

There is only one fight that makes sense for Floyd as of May 5.
            Just One.

What women wouldn't want a baby with a professional boxer who is a convicted wife beater?
How do you guys think Floyd hits his moment does he go toe to toe, jab to the body and run, pop shots and run or do you guys think he sucker peaches them like Ortiz. It must be hard watching in your home's security tapes your hired friends and security running a train on your fiance. Wednesday 15k donation for breast cancer research, Thursday cyberbully your ex. Because you can't get over her. Men it's getting hot in here

I doubt once he gets into the ring any BS drama is going to be in his head. Especially when there is a high su****ion he could be making a bigger deal of this just to sell tickets/PPV's.

What a bunch of horse dung. Trying to sell the fight by making it seem as though he's distracted. Then he'll come off as some wounded warrior when he wins to try an earn a good guy image.

Maidana has zero chance. He'll land one or two good shots early, but as usual, Floyd will start timing him, slow the fight down to 25 punches per round, and win a boring decision.

Or he'll stand in front of Marcos a few times to make it seem, again, like he's some sort of warrior.

There's only been one fight that makes sense for Mayweather since 2007, and that was Pacquiao.

Sure, right NOW Mayweather would beat Pacquiao, but it could have been a different story from 2007-2010, and that's why Mayweather made sure it didn't happen. The whole "Mayweather would beat him, so why should he fight him?" is a lame excuse. Their common opponents don't matter. The fact is, Money ducked Manny when the latter was in his prime, and now the excuse train for why Pac hasn't earned a shot comes forth. Stop coming up with reasons to fight everybody else, or risk retiring as the guy who refused to fight the other guy from his era.

(NOTE: I realize I am wasting my breath...or fingers...but by the time this happens - if ever - it will be like Jones v. Hopkins 2, or Tyson v. Holyfield where it's simply too late to matter, or be accurate.)

Don't think it will have any effect on the fight. But me and my homeboy were talking a couple days ago about how goofy Floyd has been acting coming into this one.
