Comments Thread For: Maidana Humbled, Motivated By Heavy Latino Support

LAS VEGAS --- Marcos Maidana received a hero's welcome when he arrived at the MGM Grand on Tuesday. The fans that filled the lobby of the hotel chanted his name with soccer-style cheers.

"I didn't expect that much," said Maidana, who faces Floyd Mayweather on Saturday night on Showtime PPV. "But it was spectacular to hear from the people and at the fight it should be a lot more."

Chino, we are behind you, even though the odds are against you. Chino will have more fans ( not just Latinos) than Floyd but Floyd will say that " I have great PPV numbers, I´m the attraction ". No Floyd, if you would have had two or three losses, no one but your mom would waych you. VAMOS CHINO, DEMUSTRA TU CORAZON LATINO, OLE,OLE,OLEEEEEE !!!!!! Everybody in the US and from Mexico, Guatemala, Slavador, Honduras, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Cuba,Panamá, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Bolivia, Brasil, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Peru, Spain and of course ARGENTINAAAAAAAA will support you. Floyd has more fans?? Hahahahahahahahahahahaha yeah, right.

Maidana has to throw hard, often, with variation too. He needs to impose himself physically and not be afraid to get dirty. It's his best and only shot. Try and break Floyd and land a home run shot doing it.

The odds are stacked against him, and he's facing off with the best boxer of our era. But people calling this fight a farce are way off. This is boxing and on fight night it's two men with two fists in the ring, and any man can be knocked out. Maidana has a chance, however remote it may be.
