I get what you're trying to say, but don't be nieve. They all fight for $. Khan fights all comers but he skipped Alexander for a possible May jackpot. GGG is trying to fight Chavez instead of Ward first. Kovalev fought Cleverly instead of Hopkins. Nothing wrong with any of them doing it, because it's a business 1st and foremost. Bradley would fight anyone but he passed on Khan for a Pac chance. If any of these fighters were strictly about legacy they wouldn't always say I fight whoever my promoter and team puts in front of me. They'd go on tv and demand fights with everyone. The promoters are hired for a reason( to get top $), for their services. Everyone doesn't make the money the May, Pac, or the Klit bros make. But they're all trying too!

u cant really say khan is after the money
          because
          floyd>>>> alexander

floyd is super high risk super high reward for legacy and money

i get what u mean though
but lately most fighters been thinking about $$$ and less about their legacy

Khan bypassed Alexander because he didn't want to risk the possibility of losing and ruining his chances at fighting Mayweather. He made a business decision, just like Tim Bradley made a business decision to not fight Khan three years ago.

Every pro fighter fights for money, some care more about proving their greatness as fighters than others, but they all fight for money, this is their damn livelihood.

And ppl always say stuff like "once you get rich, you can fight for your legacy and not for the money".

People do not know boxing history because usually when fighters reach a certain financial status, they get accustomed to it and want those type of paydays from there on. It's the norm, not the exception

What? That's what being a professional means.

Funny thread. No one fights if they aren't getting a decent (according to their status) paycheck.

but as i said marquez is a risk with money why choose him when he can fight someone easier without risking his pvp status drop

u lose ur stocks drops, why pick marquez
manny can actually fight two easy fights and that would equal to how much he is going to get from a marquez fight

                      now the better example is

why take bradley when he has nothing but risk for u?

facing bradley means risking ur stocks but high reward for legacy
Pacquaio fought Bradley because it was his last option. His preference was for a much more lucrative fight.
