I get what you saying ...boxing use to be a sport of pride ....now it just becoming an occupation .....fighters fighting for the fans is the last thing on some of these minds it all about careful decision making ......fighters like Floyd Adonis could care less what the people want ....that why guys like thurman and ggg get so much "hype" because at the end of the day they believe in there power and skill and want to see if they could knock others out

you shouldn't expect boxers to fight for any reason other than money. if a boxer is set for life, that is one thing. very few boxers are ever set for life. a boxer who needs money, whose career will one day end and whose money will run out, should fight for money.

What about the Ali haggler Robinson delahoya Duran Tyson etc who took all comers and great careers

Dummy he doesn't mean fight for free ....he means like back in the old days to see who was the best in the devision ..who the real champ ..fightes that are on a collision fighters that wanna make statement ..there mark in boxing books.....like khan himself ...when people said he had a shaky chin ...he called out the hardest hitting puncher in maidana to prove that he could get by him ...
