Comments Thread For: Collazo Tabs His Experience as Main Edge Over Khan

LAS VEGAS --- Luis Collazo landed a shot against Amir Khan on the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana undercard on Saturday night at the MGM Grand on Showtime PPV after knocking out talented young star Victor Ortiz in the second round in January.

Collazo, 33, a former WBA welterweight and 14-year veteran with 40 pro fights, has seen every kind of style throughout his career.

IMO, his best shot is timing him. Khan's got a lot of heart, so he won't quit like that paper towel Ortiz.

Collazos best bet is to slow things down with a jab and get Khan to the ropes where he cant get leverage with his punches. When Khan feels the ropes he throws a flurry of super fast punches but with his chin out so he has to throw with him and catch him. Collazo has to be tuff also cuz Khans going to hit him alot before he gets his chances.

khan doesn't have the right mind set to win any more big fights. he consistently deviates from his gameplan and gets ****** into a fire fight khan can't really sustain. a bloated up lightweight with very little to no power went life and death with khan, collazo a natural ww would spark out khan and probably still gets ducked by mayweather

Collazo was robbed when he fought Hatton so I wonder will he be robbed when he fights Khan so that he can fight Mayweather. Collazo derailed that Mayweather fight but the paid off judges made sure that didn't happen
