boxing = hand combat...why is back hand, slapping, hammer punches illegal?..

    Boxing is one of the most limited combat sports, thats why. It's merely a sport, not a realistic simulation of a fight, nor even a realistic simulation of a fist fight. This isnt MMA.

      In fist fights, you can at least use the full range of hand techniques, like the hammer fists, like the backfist punches, like open-handed strikes, superman punches, double punches (pac against clottey) and more.

      In the sport of boxing, you can ONLY throw variations on FOUR techniques: jabs, crosses, hooks and uppercuts. I love this sport, but the reality is that this whole sport is literally comprised of 4 hand techniques.
