People get scared when someone has a lot of power. I will say since he's been flirting with boxing the sport have pick up momentum once again.

This guy may be shady, underhanded, scum, etc..
The fact is fighters line up around the block just to have him as their manager/advisor.

Maybe because in a sport that itself can be shady, underhanded and corrupt, you need someone like that to thrive.

I can't speak for everyone here, but I know for me boxing has been a lot better since Haymon took his fighters to Golden Boy and Showtime. We've gotten deeper cards, better fights, and great boxing events. 2013 was a great year for boxing in my books. And it looks like we're building to a great second half of the year in 2014.

Bbuut Al Haymon is good for boxing! He gives us the (in-house) fights we want to see... All a fighter has to do to fight a Haymon advised boxer is, sign with Haymon!

Yeah, WWE going on at Showtime is great for boxing.

Let's just shun 70% of all professional boxers and pretend they don't exist...... unless they sign with us. Then they can fight our fighters.

70% of boxers in the professional world are either obscure, not good enough or don't really matter anyway. Lets not kid ourselves. Boxing is based on that 30% or fewer. The true superstars of the sport.

Are you telling me you are anxious to see Anatoliy Dudchenko and Nadjib Mohammedi fight for that number one contender by the IBF? Were you interested in the Decarie vs Munguia fight?

I agree it would be better if they worked with some of the superstars of Top Rank, but it was Top Rank who at first didn't want to work with Golden Boy.
Lets not have selective memory about this. It was Bob Arum who first started making fighters leave other promoters, sign in top rank in order to secure a Pacquiao fight. He did it with Marquez, Mosley, and Bradley.
