It's official, from now on I can't blame Arum for the May - Pac fight not happening, the real blame is Richard Schaefer and Floyd Mayweather. I apologize to Arum and Pacquiao fans, Oscar clearly wants whats best for the fans, but those two want to keep holding grudges like children.

Arum made it public because quite honestly MGM wouldn't give a crap otherwise. He knew it would give them a little bit of bad publicity, but it's nothing they didn't bring upon themselves. MGM made a very, very ****** mistake which for their stature should've never occurred; they deserved everything they got.
He made a spectacle about it to ensure in the future something like this never happens, because it's obvious MGM decided to take liberties in doing what they did. If you have an agreement and pay for it, then have your service provider go pull something so unprofessionally incompetent as what the MGM did then I think they should learn to take their well deserved public criticism accordingly, because it's nobody's fault but theirs.
TR and their sponsors no doubt lost money because of it, so why shouldn't the MGM too?
Now that is how its done in the real world ......
But Arum, being the (entitled one) had to throw a tantrum and make a public scene, which was very unprofessional. And now as a consequence, Arum has just ignited some sort of venue war, to go along with the network war he instigated.
We can agree to disagree ....
But I hold firm, that Arum is horrible for boxing and even worst for each and everyone of his clients.Comment

Nothing wrong with grudges. Grudges are only bad when its dealing with family. Otherwise, grudges save you from being stabbed again. Im all for the benefit of the doubt. You should always give someone a chance to prove themselves, and not go by word of mouth. But once that doubt clears, and you know the person is a snake. You only have yourself to blame if you get bit again. Thats not to say you have to keep wishing failure on someone, thats ****** and childish. But as far as not associating with the person? Nothing wrong with it.Last edited by LoudNeighbor; 04-30-2014, 09:15 PM.Comment

Golden Boy and Top Rank are acting like our current political parties do.
Guess which one is playing the part of the GOP.
I think Oscar would truly like to make a ********ic move and break the Golden Boy rule of 'just say no' to Bob Arum.
This would open the competitive floodgates.
Good for boxing.
Bad for the 'Money' men now in power.
-Schaefer tried to make Mayweather/Pacquiao twice; Arum balked.
-Schaefer tried to make Mares/Donaire, even putting up $3 million for Top Rank; Arum balked.
Whenever there was a big fight to make, Top Rank has been the impediment.
How about they try not to be, for once?Comment

Pretty lowly of you, to attribute a false quote to a person, with no actual reference to the quote, when, almost three weeks out from the event, Arum still hasn't put forward his soft numbers for Pacquiao/Bradley 2.
Mayweather/Maidana is already above $15 million on the gate, and it's Wedneday. Pacquiao/Bradley 2 didn't even draw half of that. move on.Comment
