It took him 11 rounds, when it was predicted to be 3 rounds or less. He was knocked down twice and buckled twice, when it was predicted he wouldn't break a sweat.

    I would say a B-.

C he did get the job done in the end and was putting it on Molina toward the end of the fight. However he got dropped twice and in general was more difficult than it should have been over a guy like Molina (although 140 did appear to suit Molina well).

He got the job done and that is the most important thing, and the fight was pretty good even though Molina is an unknown.

It was a good beating. It was his defence and placement that failed in the beginning. Being to open for counters.

I thought it was a sloppy performance from Matthysse.

I also thought the beating Molina made for uncomfortable viewing by the end. He took too much.

I didn't mean rate Matthysse's performance, I meant how much punishment do you think Molina took. Surely he took more than in the Demarco fight.

I was actually really impressed with Lucas' jab. It was hard as hell, accurate and fast. Once he started throwing it he started to take control in the 4th.

I was impressed as well. If you ask me, the jab won him the fight because I think it was pretty obvious from the beginning that Molina was the harder puncher (I was actually predicting this because I saw the dude's huge fists compared to Mathysse's in the pre-fight conference). He rattled Mathysse in the first round with a glancing blow that mostly hit his gloves. I was more impressed by the fact that Lucas showed tremendous character by still going for the knockout in spite of Molina's superior power. Many would have been demoralized by how well Molina was able to take his punches.
