I'm nothing close to a lawyer nor do I claim to know a lot about laws, but I would think al haymon being a lawyer is smart enough not to get caught up in a situation that could get him sued and end up on the losing end. Kathy may have filed but that does not mean she has a valid case. if Shaffer and haymon did something legally shady, I would think they are smart enough to cover their tracks. whether or not what they did is morally shady is a whole other issue. its up to you to decide if you agree or disagree with them. I am interested in how this plays out.Comment

Haymon isn't a lawyer. But I do believe he is smart enough to have a team of lawyers around him that would prevent him from being caught up in a situation like this. However Haymon's action have always seemed borderline illegal. Everyone has always suggested that the way he operates oversteps the law. He evades this by giving himself the title of "advisor" which is not licensed or regulated like managers and promoters
He's a lawyer, and legal advice seems to be the only good advice he gives outComment

Over reaching?
Fact of the matter is even an agreed upon transaction through email can be a legally binding contract in a court of law. Main events have grounds for this lawsuit based upon the facts of the agreements made between the parties.
Clearly there was collusion between Haymon and GBP to help break that contract which makes them viable defendants in this case.
I've gone through this type of case with nothing more then verbally binding agreements based on email etc and believe me they are not over reaching here.Comment

I didn't know Haymon said that he wouldn't interfere and everything was good with himComment
