Lol that's why Oscar hired Richard in the first place to take care of everything, Oscar is the owner he don't have to do **** that's why Richard gets paid, if Oscar chooses to fire Richard he will simple hire someone else to do he's job. Bunch of idiots over here SMH.

Truer words were never said. Schaefer is 100% the reason for GBP's success. He's focused. I like Oscar a lot because he's one of the promoters who's actually a student of the game, but let's call it what it is, he has substance abuse problems. Which in turn casts a certain stigma over you.

He couldn't even stay clean for his proteges fight against the #1 P4P boxer in the world, and easily the biggest fight in boxing since Oscar-Floyd.

If Schaefer leaves, GBP will fall.

Golden Boy has the fighters, Floyd would then HAVE to fight the Martinez and bigger

Opponents in order to make the big bucks.

Mayweather acting like Richard is family, but we all know the only reason they're close is because Schaefer will do everything in his power to follows his demands.

If Mayweather stayed with GBP, he'd likely have to be open to facing TR fighters again as the cold war would probably end. This is the worst scenario for him, since then he has zero excuses for avoiding the fight so it's very obvious why he'd leave if Richard did.

Forget about it Floyd. Your ego is too big to ever share decisions with someone else.

Haymon is a planner, and he may have injected clauses into every contract of all the guys he's been signing up -- One that would allow him to position the fighters to fight for a different promoter other than GBP. Or even worst, these guys may not be obligated exclusively to GBP.

This could have been done in anticipation of a breakup between GBP and Scheffer -- Since it was clear to everyone that ODLH was doing drugs like a fiend.
I think you make some legitimate points here. I don't think it's any secret that Haymon (despite the criticism) has consistently shown his ability to negotiate sweet deals for his fighters. Even though he works with GBP primarily, I think this has more to do with the fact that most promoters (with exception of GBP and a few smaller promoters), are unwilling to work with him. If Schaefer leaves GBP I see Oscar and Top Rank suddenly opening the flood gates to try and make fights. I think their success would be short lived because Haymon will be right in the middle of any negotiations for fighters he has signed. Bottomline, Haymon will be the shot caller down the road.

All this means is that Schaefer has a job with GBP until Floyd retires or his drawing power significantly declines. Because without Floyd, GBP is nothing. GBP has been very fortunate to have the biggest star in boxing for it's entire existence. First with Oscar and then with Floyd.

GBP is just getting crumbs from the Greedy Team. The GBP rift has been about financial loses. Mayweather's absence won't make any difference. Floyd and 50 cent have tried to get rid of GBP when they're still friends. Floyd chickened out.
