Is Lamont Peterson the best available for Danny at 140?

As u guys already know Danny said he'll have one last jr welterweight fight in july. He already made it more than clear that there are not going to be any rematches, leaving Peterson and Ruslan as the only two legit fights.

I'd go with Lamont since he is def a bigger name than Ruslan , what u guys think? wich other opponent could Swift fight in july?

well, rematch Herrera in a neutral arena...or Lucas. But I have a feeling that Lucas will have to chase Danny at 147 where Danny's bigger size will be a huge advantage.

Peterson is a crap option, really. But what else is there?

I think Danny should snatch that belt. It will really be a while since a JWW held the WBA, WBC, IBF and Ring belts.

Personally like to see Garcia vs the Russian but it won't happen so Petersons the next best fight in my opinion.

No, but it's a good fight. I'd like to see it since Herrera won't get a rematch.

Neither fighter has gone up yet and you are already lining up this excuse?

I think he owes Herrara a rematch.

Usually, not always but all of the great champions rematch fights where there is doubt about who won.

He will fight Peterson as the easier option, he's durable, vulnerable to the left hook and not really a massive puncher.

                  Danny cruises through this.

Herrera however deserves the rematch, shame he has Malignaggi power in his hands

He's the third best option IMO. But he's probably the most likely one if Danny's in line for Floyd next year.
