    About Viloria's performance against Aguirre...

I see alot of not so good news about Viloria's fight against Aguirre. Having not seen the bout, but got to see the scorecard of the judges.

I mean it seemed like a lopsided fight one judge even scored it a 117-111 and the other 2 scorecards weren't that close either.

Doesn't sound like a bad performance to me?

It's not really a bad fight Bro.

I have posted this in another thread and I'll post this again.

Aguirre is a former Champ who defended the title succesfully 7 times. He's got 38 fights; 34 wins while Viloria has only 18 fights.

Reason why some are saying that it's not a very impressive performance by Villoria is because Aguiire being a seasoned veteran put up a very galant fight and put Villoria in trouble in some part of the early rounds. People didn't see Villoria's dominance over the opponent the whole fight. So for them it's not a spectacular win.

I think also most people expected a Viloria domination since Aguirre had lost his previous two fights by stoppage, and had previously lost the belt to Ortiz who Viloria demolished later in 1 round.

Well that's right Villoria was really hurt in the 3rd and doesn't have the head movements to duck away from incoming punches while his back is against the ropes. That's the results of inexperience buddy and again the difference between a fighter with 38 fights and a fighter with 18 fights.

The good thing there is Villoria was able to follow Roach's instructions, deliver and was able to come back into the fight.

And you are right, Villoria definitely need some more improvement and gain more experience before fighting Arce. If that was Arce in there, that fight could have been finish right there at round 3.

there was an interview with his manager on tv last night and there were two reasons given on viloria's performance. first, which i think was the ******iest ive heard, is that brian was "hesitant" to slug it out because he feared of the ruben contreras incident when he almost killed the guy. second, is that his team wants him to have some more rounds, instead of going for the early kill.

imo these are ****** excuses. i think brian underestimated aguirre and when his opponent showed some bigtime punches he got rocked and really hesistated to exchange blows. the only good news in here is that brian showed good ring generalship in squeezing out of those tight situations and displayed amazing footwork.

he did win a clear UD, but it was a sub-par performance bro... it was a bad performance... not that he did not KO aguirre, but he did not show a promising fight IMO... he is obviously weak on the body...
