Gilberto Ramirez Sanchez (28-0) had a successful Las Vegas debut on April 12th when he stopped Giovanni Lorenzo in 5 rounds. The fight served as the main event of ESPN's Friday Night Fight card that took place on the eve of the Manny Pacquiao-Tim Bradley pay-per-view event.

Ramirez dominated the fight and had Lorenzo hurt on several occasions. He said that he was surprised the fight wasn't stopped earlier. Lorenzo's corner ended up throwing in the towel to halt the fight.

This guy is the truth he out classes both of them. He is just as tall as jr I believe but with great boxing skills and power.

i like the kid. has some good power and is very aggressive. i'd like to see him in there with a couple better opponents before he vies for a belt. definitely ridin high on this kid tho!
