u have to admit he is tough as nails. I thought he beat Mesi, and would have still won against moorer if the ref let it go on, which jirov could have continued. he had a great fight with toney, who is the best fighter out there today. so i think he can still be a champ, i just like to see him fight.

Well the Toney/Jirov fight wasn't horrible it was FOTY. It actually got him some needed recognition. He justr doesnt have what it takes to be a heavy. To bad c ruisers don't m ake ****, maybe he will go down and fight at cruiser again. I'd love to see im flaten Kelvin Davis and get the IBF belt back!

Jirov is just not cut out to be a heavyweight. He could either go back to Cruiser and win a title or he can have one or two more fights at heavyweight and just be a name opponent for some up-and-comer.

I wish Jirov would fight more often, he fought four times in 1999, 2000, and 2001. He only fought once in 2002, 3 times in 2003, and twice in 2004. I think that loss to Toney took out a lot of Jirov, he is not the same ever since. That ****** loss to Mesi didn't help either, has this been a 12 round fight, Mesi wouldn't be able to return to ring for sure, Jirov would have killed him in there.

jirov can do some damage at rtuiser but will accomplish nothing at heavy. his style combined with his size doesnt fit the heeavyweight division

I think Jirov needs a power move first he needs to go back down fight the top dog or next fighter in line for the cruiserweight belt and then try to get a fight with either MCcline,Wladimir,Toney,Tyson or RJJ for the right to fight for the heavyweight championshiop if Golota can reinvent himself and get three title defenses in a row after what he done why can't this guy do it also.

I'd say Jirov beats everyone south of 200 pounds but he cant quite **** with the big guys. The reason he cant and guys like JT and Chris Byrd can is because Jirov takes to many clean punches to fight at Heavyweight. He can still be competetive with almost anyone and may beat some decent fighters, but I dont think he can be a champ. At Cruiser weight though he would be king.
