Can Thurman vs. Porter be a Headliner on its Own?

    AND fill up a venue.

Don't get me wrong, I love this matchup but I worry that the fight will flop. How much do casuals know about Thurman vs. Porter? None of them have a strong following and this would be fight purely for the hardcore boxing fans.

It would be a sad day to see two young undefeated top 10 welterweights get buried on an undercard for cheap. Even worse to see them beating each other up in an empty Stub Hub Arena.

Can this fight be sold to the public?

Not on its own no. Maybe as a Canelo undercard or even a Khan undercard if he gets past Collazo which means most likely a fight at 147 against Garcia or Mayweather by the looks of it.

It could be a headliner, fill up a venue? Doubt it.

Hardcore fans understand and would love to see thus right now... But business wise it makes no sense because the casual fans (the majority ) won't know them.... They're worse than Pac fans...clueless..lol

If Thurman-Diaz could headline, so could this fight. I just hope it doesnt get put on some PPV undercard

Thurman is unlucky to be from Florida.

Pick the right venue and make it part of a solid triple header I think it'll do good numbers.

Don't really need to. Stick em on an under card of Floyd's PPV, boom, you got your next contender.

With a good undercard, yes it can. This is one of the best fights (if not the best fight) to be made at 147 right now
