This is a f$%^&*g joke. Of all the fighters that Schafer could have put in the ring against Guerrero, he puts him in the ring with a guy that nobody has ever heard of. Schafer gave us Matthysse/Molina and Thurman/Diaz and then he gives us Broner vs a nobody and Khan vs a guy past his prime on PPV. Now this crap. Bob Arum gives us nothing but rematches between the same fighters time after time while Schafer gives us nothing but mismatches instead of matching the best fighters in his stable against each other. Both Arum and Schafer are insults to the profession.

Just because this guy doesn't have a name here in the US doesn't me he can't fight. That fact that Guerrero is back in the ring means we will get to see some good matches. I'm excited to see ghost back in the ring. The welterweight division is super stacked!!!

It doesn't matter if the division is stacked if the promoters refuses to put the best guys (even the ones in their own stable) in the ring against each other.

I wrote a thread a few months ago saying boxing matches so far this year were horrible. A lot of people told me to chill out because it would get better. Is this fight someone's idea of getting better?

                Kamegai is pretty awful.

He's one dimensional, and even then he's not very good at his one dimension.

What is Schaefer going to do when these guys are turning down fights? He can't force every fight. Khan walked away from Alexander originally. And Guerrero turned down a fight with Thurman originally. Then later went on to file a lawsuit to try and break out his contract, which failed. I don't even think Schaefer would even be that interested in setting Guerrero up with a high profile fight at the moment after trying to leave Golden Boy after getting him the Floyd fight.

All you internet tough guys need to give Guerrero a break, this is a tune up fight. This is the same fighter that moved up two weight classes after major shoulder surgery.

Guerrero has won belts at 126 and 130. That would make him a 2 weight world champ. He has interim belts at 135 and 147. Play again.
