Logically this is what needs to happen, but knowing Khan, he'll barely survive the fight with Collazo, bench himself for another year and beg for a fight next spring.

Neither winner from this fight can be justified a Floyd fight.

More than likely Khan will wobble to victory again and finally will get a shot that he has messed up so many times already.

Of course he should, Khan has better names and a better run as champion on his resume than both Ortiz and Maidana, and in all honesty, Canelo too (his biggest fight going into "The One" was a shot to **** Mosley). Khan should have gotten the fight right now in all honesty.

But I can't see him getting passed Collazo, this Virgil Hinter version of Khan is too thoughtful, always caught in two minds.

He is supposed to be able to beat Collazo just like Ortiz was and just like they both were supposed to win all of their fights other than Floyd for Ortiz. Collazo is a gate keeper so it really means about as much as Khan beating Diaz if he wins which will leave him right where he is now maybe worse off if he struggles.

As a Floyd opponent, you have to bring something to the table other than promises and delusions of grandeur.

Hell no. Khan NEVER deserved the Floyd fight. You can make an argument, after the Zab win, he had a fight or 2, then earned a shot, but he's been routinely messing that up.

Just because you were chosen as a Floyd opponent from the jump, doesn't mean a win against Collazo earns you a fight with Floyd.

And Thurman and Porter have better resumes than Khan @ WW. Khan hasn't even fought at the full limit of 147 yet, for Christ's sake.
