    Collazo calls out Hatton!

Last week the WBA welterweight champion Luis Collazo dropped the gauntlet on the entire division. The bold move made by the 24-year-old Puerto Rican native of Williamsburg, Brooklyn has put a few of boxing's elite up in arms wondering what his deal is. Collazo has targeted all of the high rollers from 140 to 147 pounds on his radar. The name(s) he signed contract(s) to face at Don King Productions Headquarters in Deerfield Beach, Florida, are surely a who's who list of the 'Creme de la Creme' in the entire fight game.

"But before Hatton goes on to fight either Gatti or Baldomir, there is open invitation to fight Louie anytime for the title."

Ricky before we wrap up the interview, it is imperative that I get your feeling and insight on a particular situation. The WBA Welterweight Champion Luis Collazo signed six contracts last week.

          What? (Laughing)

Yeah, six contracts. He is basically targeting the best fighters from 140 to 147. The names of his potential opponents are Floyd Mayweather, Arturo Gatti, Shane Mosley, Antonio Margarito, Miguel Cotto and Carlos Baldomir.
He didn't sign to fight me. (With smile on his face)

I am going to get to that now Ricky. A few days ago Louie's trainer (Nirmal Lorick) gave me a call stating that although you were not mentioned you were not forgotten. He made sure to give you what we call here your 'props'. But he made it abundantly clear that you have open invitation for a title shot against Louie anytime providing he is the champion. What do you have to say about that?

Wow, six contracts in one day! I respect and admire his courage and tenacity. Tell Mr. Lorick thanks for the 'props' (laughing) and tell him thank you for the invite. I am not too familiar with Louie Collazo; I have never seen him fight. But I know he is a Don King fighter and if the fans want to see it, then they will. I don't have any problems dealing with Don King (laughing).

Hatton basicly accepted the challenge, in the interview I posted up, something might happen.

According to JuyJuy, fighting collazo is the best option....and would just be a bonus after everything he's already done. His legacy as an all time great is secured.

That includes his legacy Pre Tszyu.
