Are the Klitschkos unjustly vilified?

Let's face it the Klitschkos are not the most popular fighters despite them generally destroying everyone brought before them. It's not as if they are ducking anyone. Vitali fought Lennox Lewis who was the best heavyweight at the time. His face was disfigured but still continued fighting so he's not really a coward. He pushed for a rematch but Lewis retired instead.

Next on the line was Corry Sanders. The guy was fast and could punch. Ok he was past his prime but really not many could have beatean Sanders at that time but Vitali faced him and got him out of there. They have gone on to face probably everyone who was around. Then David Haye made a lot of noise. He could punch and was very fast. He got his shot then claimed his toe had been messed up after he lost. So did Chisora, Samuel Peter who could also punch at that time and everyone else. Still they are not liked fighters. Look at their physical conditioning. Most heavyweights look like they eat McDonalds 24/7 and furthermore Klitschkos appear like true gentlemen outside the ring. They are educated as well and treat their sparring partners and trainers very well.

Is there anything the Klitschkos could have done differently to be liked? Are they just unjustly hated?

It's not their fault the division was so bad for all these years, but that doesn't mean they should get credit they haven't earned, either. Most people don't attack the Klitschkos themselves, especially not Vitali, who had literally nothing you can complain about.

Klitschko fans are overly sensitive, though, and take an attack on the glob awful fighters in the division as an attack on the Klitschkos themselves.

the klitschkos are one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. in time they will get this recognition when hot heads cool down and educate themselves on their achievements in the sport.

No one hates them...but their fans make people slander them..just look at the threads on here after Wlad beat a ****ing bum ass truck driver...sure it was his mandatory and he did what he had to do fine...but why make threads hyping it and trying to slander past greats?

If and when Wilder becomes champion, the same people will be saying how wonderful the HW division is!

Naw man it will be the same **** division..it isnt about race or nationality..it is about the lack of talent...look at Leapai..somehow this 6 foot 250 pound fat **** is a mandatory??? really?? that alone should telly you how bad it is when the champ has to,and i mean has to fight bums like that....but this isnt the 1st **** era nor the last..
