  • Comments Thread For: Photos: Keith Thurman Breaks Julio Diaz in Three

StubHub Center, Carson, California - The very dangerous WBA interim-welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21KOs) stopped veteran Julio Diaz (40-10-1, 29KOs) in three rounds, after Diaz suffered a rib injury from a shot to the body and was unable to come out for the fourth. Diaz was rocked and dropped during the second round. He tried to go for broke in the third round but he was unable to put a dent in Thurman. [Click Here To Read More]

I think out of the new rising stars. Porter is the best. I pick Porter over Thurman if the fight happens.

Porter is *****...can't stand that mutha****a...all he does is lunge and throw wild shots and use his body weight to smother people...I've yet to see anything that's amazing...no combos no angles...nothin but sloppy wild shots...thurman is that dude...he's always moving around the ring and can mix
It up...yes he has flaws in defense but he can box or slug...

      ONE TIME BABY!!

Porter Will Have NO Problem With Thurman

Thurman needs to fight and dominate Bradley before he gets a title shot with the best.

You're an idiot on the Thurman bandwagon. Just like those clowns that all piled on the Brandon Rios bandwagon and bailed off as soon as their main guy got that top echelon fight with Pacquiao and looked like a deer in the headlights. Thurman is getting better but he's young, untested, and needs to dominate a Tim Bradley first before you give him any of the best.

Bradley is not all that especially with his last fight against Pacquiao. I think Robert Guerrero is a better test for Thurman.

Yeah, I agree somewhat that Porter swings wildly at times but he has a sick left hook and can switch it up. Porter just needs to be more aware of the punches he throws and make sure they count because a guy like Thurman with his power could take advantage of Porter's wild swinging. All in all though I think Porter will improve and become more solid because at the moment Porter is the one fighting better competition. Diaz is a good win for Thurman being that he gave Khan and Porter a tough go around but styles make fights and Porter is fighting more experienced guys in there. It's a toss up but my money will be on Porter.

I agree with this also. Only problem for the ghost In this fight is his slow feet but luckily Thurman isn't a runner but it would be nice to see if he can keep the distance between him self and the ghost and box if he doesn't I see the ghost out working him.
