The only thing I can criticize about Lucas is he don't know what to do when someone keep on clinching him. When he fought Garcia, Danny keep on clinching after Lucas clipped him so that he can't follow up after landing those big bombs. If he knows how to get away and put a distance after each time he lands his punches and reset, I think he will be hard to beat. He have power on both hands, he have decent blocking and ducking defense. But he need to learn how to move his head as well.

Styles make fights. Alvarado was able to out fight Herrera and beat him by UD.

Matthysse struggles a bit early and they trade, much like Herrera-Alvarado, but in the end just like Matthysse did tonight he turns the tide and wins a UD.

did danny and lucas take something out of each other? i figured matthysse and danny would dominate but both haven't looked good.

I think it's too soon to tell whether this is the case. I'd like to see at least 1 or 2 more fights. So far, though, I think Lucas actually looked a bit better than Swift in their last fights.

Why not but I think the pressurizing of Matthysse would be too much for Herrera...
Its his choice/death-sentence if he wants it give him it and if he beats him convincingly he surely deserves the rematch with Danny.

agreed, if anything lucas looked unprepared / unmotivated early on in this fight, as the fight wore on, lucas just warmed up more and more, he had John backing up for 90% of the fight, fucking crazy

Herrera is crafty, someone told him that Matthysse would fcuk him up (on twitter) and he said "don't get it twisted, we've sparred". It might look more like the Judah fight.

we don't believe triangles can fit in squares....not a match in our book!!....Lucas would break and beat Herrera down....Lucas is a different animal than Swift....Lucas fights with a chip on his shoulder, like he has something to prove....the only thing he fears is losing....he fights like a man possessed when he feels he's losing....he's more mature than Swift imo...therefore he won't take things for granted like lets say a 25 or 26 yr old who's making 7 figures a fight for the last 2 years or so....Swift needs a Lucas across the ring from him every fight imo....Lucas just needs an opponent...don't matter who!!
