I don't think Matthysse ever gets stopped for the rest of his career, his recovery ability is ****ing nuts

Marquez was dropped by C-level fighters, was he OTW to being out of boxing? LOL, NSB at it's finest right here

Don't mean to interrupt a conversation but how can a fighter not be hurt if he is not protecting himself? Obviously he would be hurt if he could not defend himself.

Molina really proved to the world tonight why he's thought of so highly amongst "fight" fans - Dude has an incredible will to win with a chin to match. Those punches Matthysse was tagging him with all night would've put most men on their ass much earlier than they did Molina. His power seems legit, too. Though the first KD was definitely more of an equilibrium shot than a legit power shot, IMO.

As for Matthysse, cut it however you want it. If you're a fan of his like I am you're happy with the surefire FOTY performance, if you're a Garcia fan, well...I'm sure you'll find someway to twist this awesome performance into proof that he somehow sucks.

And so goes the saga of NSB...

          Bring on the next victim.

It was a great fight props to both fighters. Honestly I think matthysses conditioning was the Xfactor in this fight, he got stronger in the 2nd half of the fight whereas molina faded.

I think it had more to do with accuracy and Matthysse being a notorious slow starter. He usually always does his best work in the second half of a fight (see : Judah), but people got spoiled by the early KO streak he went on and convinced themselves he was a wrecking ball puncher.

Don't get me wrong, he's a damn hard puncher and one of the best in the sport, but his strength has always been his accuracy and ability to pile on the punches late.

After round 5 he was hitting Molina at will with anything he wanted. Most of which were power punches, so props to John for standing up to that assault for as long as he did.

A brilliant fight. Loved every moment of it. Both guys showed immense heart, Molina made me a fan of his out there tonight but I'm glad Matthyse won. Ah such an entertaining fight, the way Matthyse was tagging Molina at will only for Molina to eat the punches up was something to behold.
