Comments Thread For: Thurman on Diaz: I’m Definitely Looking For The KO!

Keith “One Time” Thurman is going into his fight this Saturday night looking to put on a dominant performance and he’s not shy to let you know he’s planning on knocking his opponent Julio Diaz out.

While most fighters give the cliché answer that they won’t look for a knockout and rather let the knockout come to them, Thurman assures he is going to be on the hunt to finish things on his own. Diaz is seasoned veteran and gave a great account of himself against Amir Khan and Shawn Porter but Thurman wants to get his 21st career stoppage as he headlines the main event at the Stub Hub Center.

This mentality probably want hurt Thurman against a fighter of Diaz's caliber, but eventually being reckless is going to lead to him being "one timed".He has already walked into punches against both Soto karrass. and Chavez .

Fact. However, he took the punches very well. In the 1st round Soto-Karass cleaned his clock. Thurman shook if off though.

This fight really does nothing for me. I hope it's a fire-fight tho.

The phrase 'drunk on his own power' springs to mind. This happened to one of the hardest punchers in the past 30 years in G-Man, Gerald McClellan; but when he came up against a real tough guy, a power puncher, who could take the shots and punch back, it ultimately couldn't bail him out of trouble. And G-Man is one of my all-time favourites.

Thurman is definitely a Hawaiian or south seas mix. He looks like a young version of Hawaiian singer Keali Reichel: http://i.ytimg.com/vi/THp8mL3xwGk/0.jpg
