Does Mosley know he's a shot fighter?

I don't think Mosley is a shot fighter, but he hasn't looked impressive in either of his comeback fights, winning very lame and half-hearted decisions. Some people say he is shot; I'm not so sure...or at least I wasn't until recently. What was the point of going to 147 if he's going to fight Vargas at 154? Is he trying to cash in on one big fight and either prevail or go out, guns blazing? I know it makes sense from a monetary standpoint, but he has to know 154 isn't his weight. What is his mindset?

Maybe both guys consider themselves shot and are just trying to cash in, or, knowing that the other guy is shot, they think they can get a win over a big name opponent

Mosley isn't shot. This will be the fight that launches him back into the PPV Main Event mix with guys like Mayweather. He might not have KO'd his last two opponents but he won and the fights weren't close. The weight isn't a big thing because he'll come in at 151-152 anyways. He's always in superb shape so fighting at 147 or 154 isn't a big deal to him since he has the power to punch at both and he's faster than most guys at both divisions. Winky Wright will make a lot of guys look bad, Shane will look good this weekend against a prettymuch cooked Vargas

this fight is reminiscent of other over-the-hill classics such as: Camacho vs. Duran, Leonard-Hearns 2, Hill vs. lalonde, etc etc

both guys are SHOT, neither is world class

I'll tell you, if Mosley is shot, he'll find out soon enough. Luckily, Vargas is so shot, hes not even there anymore. He hasnt been able to take a punch since the Trinidad fight. I think Mosley KTFO OF Vargas' fake Aztec Warrior ass in 10.

I think Shane just needs to overcome the mental things. If you watch him, his hand speed is still very good. Its just that he doesn't open up with combos the way he used to which makes him a little more gunshy and less electric. He really got hurt by the **** that went down in the first Forrest fight. He may not be that level anymore but he's still a strong and experience fighter that would threaten Mayweather or Margarito if they'd step in the ring with him

I know it has to be something in the gym bothering him. He doesn't throw combos either because of the weight training or in the gym he tries to KO everyone with one punch. I stopped throwing combos when I started weight lifting because my arms would get tired after 2 or 3 punches, and also I would stress every shot to get max power and watch the other guys effects of the shot. When I stopped with the weights and just str8 boxing, I got better.

losing to a man half his size does not mean he's shot u idiots...mosley has never been a big knockout artist @ 147...135 is the weight where he destroyed his foes

I hope that when he comes back to 147 that without pushing the weights he'll be more fluid. Winky was a bad style matchup for him and Vernon Forrest had his number. Some guys just do whether you fight them at 10 or 30.
