Figueroa should blow right thru belmontes , especially if belmontes tries to slug it out with omar. He fought as if he had power against fransico vargas and lost a UD. If Belmontes fights smart and boxes he can make it interesting until he gets caught.

I'm not very impressed with Figueroa, don't think the kid will amount to much. I'd pick Crawford, Vazquez and Abril to beat him at Lightweight.

Figueroa is the epitome of "The Mexican Brawler".

But look at him here; he's like a college nerd...

I think he's draining himself to get down to lightweight, his punches were a lot more thudding when he was fighting at 140 earlier in his career. Hopefully he moves up after a couple title defenses.

To tell you the truth: only after this video I began to watch Omar with attention... The kid seems more than OK...

same here you can even incude Ray Beltran to that list but the thing most of those guys are with TOP RANK so he doesnt have to worry about fighting them.

he's been fighting subpar competition and somehow was awarded a world title. he needs to step up a face a real fighters soon

Based on their last couple of outings , I'd put my money on Omar.
Jerry didn't seem to have any stamina last time I saw him vs Vargas, maybe he's eating too much Pizza Hut. If this fighter got his act together a little better , he could go somewhere.
He threw a lot of wild punches looking to knock out a disciplined Vargas.

Omar's last fight may have broken his hands with the amount of punches he threw(I never checked to see if he did). It seemed towards the end of the fight with Nihito that he was'nt throwing with conviction , he was throwing his punchs to keep Nihito off of him.

I like Omar because he's more of a technical fighter , he will dismantle Jerry.
Jerry has a decent chin but he may get TKO'd.
